Hi Jessica. I am not a prepper. Too old slow and arthritic for the physical realities of that. However, I wish you and your family the best in your preparation. Most people still don't have a clue about what's coming at them.
Worst mistake I made as a survivalist was in 1990, thinking the US was gonna collapse in 6-7 years. Still a survivalist, and the country is still here, albiet worse than it was back then. That 12 months of food you put aside? You're gonna be glad you have it when you get laid off, and it takes 3 months for you to find another job, and another 9 to get back to your previous income level. It's stuff like that you have to worry about.
